"We have had in our possession for over 10 years, a wall hanging measuring about 2 meters by 1 1/2 meters that has a label on the back which reads:-
Dhoyal : Traditional Thar Desert Bedcover made from hand embroidered bodices worn by women & presented as wedding gifts.
I can find no appropriate references to the word "Dhoyal" on the internet.
Could you please advise if you have any knowledge of this or perhaps the word has been spelled incorrectly?"

hi, its probably completley unrelated, but are there any bird patterns on the wall hanging?
A dhoyal, doyal, doel (many possible spellings) is the name given to the oriental magpie-robin in the Bengal. Its a common bird in a lot of asia, and is the national Bird of Bangladesh ( a sor tof mascot)
